Research Cluster
With a SSHRC Strategic Research Clusters Design Grant (2006), a national research team facilitated the development of a national/international research cluster in the area of spirituality and social work. The research cluster brought together Canadian scholars, national and international organizations, diverse community agencies and practitioners, students, and international experts who shared expertise in spiritually-influenced social work and other helping/health approaches. This includes work with individuals, families, organizations and groups, as well as with communities and society. The focus of our research cluster is learning more about how spirituality can help to promote personal and social change; construct meaningful work; assist in ethical decision making; contextualize international development; contribute to the health of people and their environments; and transform leadership.
You can find some of our work on www.spiritualityandsocialwork.ca. On this website is a terms of reference, a Clearinghouse with downloadable papers and presentations, conference information and proceedings, and much more.
